Gut-Healing Tummy Tea
This recipe provides soothing mucilage, demulcent , and vulnerary gut-healing support. Perfect for ulcers, reflux, gastritis, heartburn, and leaky gut issues. Feel free to raid your spice cabinet for additional digestive support.
What You’ll Need:
- 1 parts, marsh mallow root
- 1 part, marshmallow leaf or flower
- 1 part, plantain leaf
- 1 part, fennel seed or Anise Hyssop leaves
- French Press pot or tea infuser travel mug
Directions:
- Cover 2 heaping tablespoons of the herb mixture with hot water in a 32 ounce container. Let steep for several hours or overnight. Feel free to move to the fridge once it cools. Strain and drink of 1 to 2 days. (You can steep it for a shorter period of time – 15 minutes or so – but the mucilaginous herbs and the spices will be more potent with a long steep.)
